Day 1: Arrival in Fairbanks
Your Alaska adventure begins in Fairbanks, a city shaped by gold rush history and the peaceful beauty of the interior. After you arrive and settle into your hotel, the evening is yours to enjoy. Many travelers like to take a gentle walk along the Chena River or enjoy a quiet dinner at a local restaurant. Fairbanks has a calm and welcoming feel that helps you ease into the journey ahead.

Day 2: Fairbanks Exploration
Today you experience the heart of Fairbanks. You begin with the Riverboat Discovery, a narrated cruise along the Chena and Tanana Rivers. You learn how Alaska Native communities have lived on this land for generations. You see a bush plane demonstration and visit a recreated Athabascan village.
Later, you visit Gold Dredge 8 where you ride a vintage train through historic mining fields. You try your hand at gold panning and learn about the Trans Alaska Pipeline. It is a full day of history, culture, and hands‑on experiences that help you understand Alaska’s past and present.

Day 3: Fairbanks to Denali
You travel by motorcoach from Fairbanks to Denali. The scenery shifts from wide open interior plains to the foothills of the Alaska Range. Once you arrive, you join the Denali Natural History Tour. This experience introduces you to the park’s wildlife, geology, and cultural stories. You learn how the Athabascan people lived in this region long before it became a national park.
The evening is yours to enjoy. Many travelers like to explore the lodge area, enjoy dinner, or simply take in the long summer light stretching across the mountains.

Day 4: Denali to Talkeetna to Anchorage
This is one of the most memorable days of the entire cruisetour. You board a deluxe glass‑domed railcar and travel south toward Talkeetna. The views are breathtaking. You pass rivers, forests, and mountain valleys. On clear days, you may even see Denali rising above the horizon.
You arrive in Talkeetna, a charming and artistic town known for its climbers and small‑town warmth. After some time to explore, you continue by motorcoach to Anchorage. You settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in Alaska’s largest city.

Day 5: Anchorage and Iditarod Experience
Anchorage offers a blend of city comfort and wild surroundings. Today you visit an Iditarod sled dog musher’s kennel where you learn how these incredible dogs train for the world’s most famous sled race. You meet the dogs, hear stories from the mushers, and see the dedication behind this iconic sport.
The rest of the day is yours. Anchorage has beautiful walking trails, local shops, and restaurants that highlight Alaska’s seafood and flavors

Day 6: Anchorage to Seattle and Embarkation
You begin the day with an early morning flight from Anchorage to Seattle. The timing gives you plenty of space to arrive, collect your luggage, and transfer to the pier. Boarding Norwegian Encore feels exciting after your days in the wilderness. You settle into your stateroom, explore the ship, and enjoy your first evening onboard.

Day 7: At Sea
Your first full day is spent at sea as Norwegian Encore sails north toward Alaska. This is a perfect day to relax and explore the ship. You can enjoy ocean views from the observation lounge, visit the spa, try different dining options, or simply sit on deck and watch the water. It is a gentle way to ease into the cruise portion of your journey.

Day 8: Juneau, Alaska
Juneau is surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and water. Many travelers choose to visit Mendenhall Glacier, take a whale watching tour, or ride the Mount Roberts Tramway. The city has a friendly feel and plenty of shops and cafés. You can explore at your own pace and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

Day 9: Skagway, Alaska
Skagway feels like a step back into the gold rush era. Wooden boardwalks, historic buildings, and mountain views create a unique atmosphere. The White Pass and Yukon Route Railway is a popular excursion that takes you high into the mountains with sweeping views of valleys and waterfalls. You can also explore the town on foot and learn about its colorful history.
Day 10: Glacier Bay National Park/ Cruising
Today is one of the most breathtaking days of your entire journey. Norwegian Encore sails into Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site that spans more than three million acres of mountains, glaciers, and untouched wilderness. Park rangers come aboard to share stories about the region’s history, wildlife, and ever‑changing landscape.
As the ship glides through the bay, you see towering glaciers, deep blue ice, and snow‑capped peaks rising in every direction. You may hear the crack of calving ice or spot sea otters, harbor seals, or bald eagles along the shoreline. It is a peaceful and powerful day of scenic cruising that invites you to slow down and take in the beauty of Alaska’s most iconic landscape.

Day 12: Victoria, British Columbia
Your final port is Victoria, a beautiful coastal city with gardens, waterfront paths, and historic architecture. Many travelers enjoy a visit to Butchart Gardens or a simple stroll along the Inner Harbour. It is a gentle and relaxing way to close out your time in port.
